Re: 8tracks
HUGE UPDATE:
As I said on my earlier post today the CTO of 8tracks answered some questions on the discord server of mixer.fm
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN INFORMATION ABOUT 8TRACKS AND THE ANSWERS THE CTO OF 8TRACKS GAVE, PLEASE, KEEP READING THIS POST BECAUSE IT'S A LOT BUT YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
Okay, so he first talked about how they were involved in buying 8tracks, then how everything failed because of money and issues with the plataform then he talked about this new app called MixerFM they developed that works with web3 (8tracks is a web2 product), that if they get to launch it they'll get to launch 8tracks too because both apps will work with the same data.
Here is what they have already done in his own words:
*Built a multitenant backend system that supports both MIXER and 8tracks
*Fully rebuilt the 8tracks web app
*Fixed almost all legacy issues
*Developed iOS and Android apps for MIXER
What is next?
They need to migrate the 8tracks database from the old servers to the new environment. That final step costs about $50,000 and on his own words "I am personally committed to securing the funds to make it happen. If we pull this off since there is a time limit , we will have an chance to launch both 8tracks and MIXER. … so for all you community members that are pinging me to provide more details on X and here on discord, here it is"
Here the screenshots of his full statement:
NOW THE QUESTIONS HE ANSWERED:
*I transcribed them*
1. "What's the status of the founding right now?"
"Fundraising, for music its difficult"
2. "Our past data, is intact, isn't?"
"All data still exists from playlist 1"
3. "Will we be able to access our old playlists?"
"All playlists if we migrate the data will be saved. If we dont all is lost forever"
4. "How will the new 8tracks relaunch and MIXER be similar, and how will they be different?"
"8tracks / human created / mix tape style as it was before
mixer - ai asiated mix creation, music quest where people earn crypto for work they provode to music protocol ( solve quests earn money for providing that service )"
5. "Why is 8tracks being relaunched when they could just launch MIXER with our 8tracks database?"
"One app is web2 ( no crypto economy and incentives / ) mixer is web3 ( economy value exchange between users, artists, publishers, labels, advertisers) value (money) is shared between stakeholders and participants of app. Company earns less / users / artist earn more."
6. "Will we need to create a separate account for mixer? Or maybe a way to link our 8tracks to mixer?"
"New account no linking planned"
7. "What do you mean by fixed almost all legacy issues and fully rebuilt the 8tracks web app?"
"We have rebuilt most of 8tracks from scratch i wish could screen record a demo. In Last year we have rebuilt whole 8tracks ! No more issues no more bugs no more hacked comments"
8. "Will the song database be current and allow new songs? For example if someone makes a K pop playlist theres the capability for new songs and old not just all songs are from 2012. There will be songs from 2020 onwards to today?"
"Current cut of date is 2017, we have planed direct label deals to bring music DB up to speed with all new songs until 2025. This means no more song uploads"
9. "The apps would be available for android and outside USA?"
"USA + Canada + Germany + UK + Sweden + Italy + Greece + Portugal + Croatia in my personal rollout plan / but usa canada croatia would be top priority"
10. "Will 8tracks have a Sign in with Apple option?"
"It will have nothing if we don’t migrate the database but yes if we do it will have it"
11. ""Will Collections return?"
"Ofc If we save the database its safe to assume collections will return"
12. "Will the 8tracks forums return?"
"No that one i will deleted People spending too much time online"
13. "No more songs uploads forever or no more songs until…?"
"Idk, this really depends on do we save database or no. Maybe we restart the process of song uploads to rebuild the and create a worlds first open music database If anyone has any songs to upload that is
We operate under different license"
14. "What is your time limit? for the funding, I mean"
"Good question I think 2-3 months"
15. "From now?"
"Correct"
16. "When is the release date for Mixer?"
"Mixer would need 2-3 more months of work to be released Maybe even less of we would use external database services and just go with minimum features"
17. "Do you have the link for it?"
"Not if we dont secure the database that is number one priority"
*That was the end of the questions and answers*
Then he said:
"You need to act bring here (discord) people and help me set up go fund me camping of investor talks fail so we secure the database and migrate data so we can figure out whats next"
He also said he'll talk with the CEO about buying him the idea of community funding, that all who participate should have a lifetime subscription and "some more special thing", we suggested a message on the 8tracks official accounts (twitter, their blog, tumblr) and he was okay with the idea but he said they need to plan it carefully since the time is limited.
Okay, guys, that's so far what he said, I hope this information helps anyone, I don't know if they get to do a community funding but take in consideration it's a plausible option and that what they want from us is to participate in any way like for example spreading the message, if most people know about it the best, they also want you to join their server so here's the link to the website of mixerfm and where you can join the server:
Keep tagging few people who were discussing about this:

THE METAGS IS A GOOD POINT!!!! I love speculating on silly little things like what time ii takes place in... ambiguous time between 2018 and 2022 how lovely!!! I will make this an actual confession though since I'm on the topic of metags:
I love them. I love them so so much. They're so stupid. Why are they alive. How do they see things. What is wrong with them... Beautiful little beasts. Actually, on the note of how they see things, I wonder if they don't see visually but instead use some kind of app to scan the Meeple facilities. Kind of like echolocation if your echolocation is a visible map to you. Maybe they have a "Find Me App" instead of a "Find My App".... On that note, I think it's interesting that they're used as Guards of all things. I feel like they'd be more useful as spies, being able to keep track of meeple devices.
....On that note, I just realized, the Find My App was released on iOS 13 September 2019... The latest Mephone, the Mephone X is originally shipped with iOS 11 BUT CAN run iOS 13. Thus, the latest Mephone that CAN run iOS 13 is the Mephone6S.
The only PROBLEM with this is that we've been shown downgrading/upgrading iOS's (meOS's in this case...) changes the personality and software OF the Meeple. So, none of the Mephones can update to iOS 13, because it'd literally wipe out their very being.
GOOD JOB COBS, YOUR METAGS CANT EVEN SERVE THEIR ORIGINAL PURPOSE????? ?????????????????? The Find My App has no use these phones CANT BE TRACKED?????? this is genuinely so funny to me -2G Anon
GEHEHEHEHE I DIDN’T EVEN THINK OF THAT OHH MY GOD. just purposeless little bugs roaming around meeple hq… what guys… I wanna hold one in the palm of my hand
#stupid old man can’t even make his little tiny creatures do their intended purpose#inanimate insanity#ii metag#ii meeple#meeple confession#2g anon#fav

Some of the photos I took using my Vivo V40 5G
After 8 years of using IOS, I finally decided to switch back to android 🥹. I've been using this phone for 2 weeks now and so farrr I have no regrets.
After the launch of the ios18 and after updating my phone, i experienced bugs and lags up to the extent of my phone restarting from time to time and the flashlight suddenly stops so I decided to replace it nalang. I wanted to get the 13 or 14 buttt i realized I can get a good quality phone at a lower price so I waited patiently for the relesse of this phone.
I used to have the iphone 11 so this is kinda a big upgrade for me 🥹😍

Hello, Sky kids! We will soon have a new Patch Update for Sky:
📸 Season of Moments
🥳 Sky's 4th Anniversary
✨ Other improvements
See the patch notes for more 📬
Known Issues Patch 0.22.0
We are aware of the following bugs that are ongoing or were introduced with the arrival of Patch 0.22.0:
🔷After sharing light with a shadow kid, your Sky kids stance will appear to change from your selected stance to the default stance for the new acquaintance. However, your stance selection will remain the same on your screen.
🔷If players have any menu open while holding hands with or being carried by another player who views a note, a shared memory, or a shared space, the menus will automatically close.
🔷When liking a friend's shared memories, notes, and spaces, a notification will be sent to them that incorrectly shows the name you have given your friend instead of the name they have given you.
🔷When placing boat/crane/lantern notes, players may notice their message shows incorrect characters or may require players to relog into the map to see their note.
🔷[Switch/Controller] Shared Spaces cannot be named or shared if players tap/select outside of the keyboard to close it. Tapping out to close will lock the keyboard away; however, leaving the area and returning will allow players to use the keyboard again. Closing the keyboard by pressing X or deleting text will not activate the bug.
🔷[PlayStation/Switch] While in chibi height or shorter height, if being led by a taller player, the chibi will appear to be levitating.
🔷[PlayStation] Opening the chat keyboard may slow the frame rate.
🔷Placing boat notes, shared spaces, or shared memories may cause a server error. If a server error occurs, please contact Player Support and share details about what you were placing to receive the error. Players may need to restart the app if the error is received.
We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience these may cause while we work to resolve them in a future update.

The Silent Struggle Behind Android OS: Freedom, and the Code That Binds Us
In the glittering world of mobile technology, about android OS -Android OS stands as a paradox—both a symbol of liberation and a battlefield of complexity. Behind its colorful interface and seemingly effortless usability lies a storm of fragmentation, security debates, development dilemmas, and user fatigue. This is not just an operating system—it is a philosophy, an ecosystem, and at times, a technological suffering masked by sleek design.
The Birth of an Open Dream
Android OS was born from idealism. Created by Android Inc. and acquired by Google in 2005, it aimed to provide a free, open-source operating system for mobile devices. On paper, it was freedom. In reality, freedom comes at a cost. The open nature of Android, though revolutionary, led to fragmentation—a term that developers dread and users don’t even realize they're victims of.
Unlike Apple’s iOS, which is tightly controlled, Android OS lives in chaos. Every manufacturer, from Samsung to Xiaomi, adds its own layer of customization. What should be a unified experience becomes a maze of interfaces, settings, and updates. The suffering begins not with bugs, but with inconsistency.
Fragmentation: The Curse of Freedom
One of the most persistent issues with Android OS is version fragmentation. While Google may release Android 14 with cutting-edge features, most users are stuck on Android 11 or 12. Device manufacturers delay updates, carriers restrict rollouts, and budget phones are left behind.
This fragmentation results in:
Security vulnerabilities
Developer nightmares
Inconsistent user experiences
Imagine a developer trying to build an app that works flawlessly on every Android version, screen size, and device manufacturer’s skin. It’s not development—it’s a warzone. The same code behaves differently on a Samsung Galaxy than it does on a OnePlus or a Pixel. The Android SDK is rich, but its implementation suffers from ambiguity.
The Custom ROM Renaissance: Hope or Despair?
For many power users, the answer to Android OS's inconsistency lies in custom ROMs. These community-built versions of Android, like LineageOS, Pixel Experience, and crDroid, promise a cleaner, bloat-free, and frequently updated OS.
But flashing a ROM isn’t easy. It demands:
Unlocking bootloaders
Wiping data
Navigating XDA threads filled with jargon
And often, it ends in a bricked device or a half-functional phone. Custom ROMs represent the hacker’s hope, but they are also a reminder of the suffering required for perfection in an imperfect world.
Security: Open Doors and Broken Locks
Security on Android OS is a double-edged sword. On one hand, Google Play Protect and monthly security patches offer decent protection. On the other, the Play Store is still occasionally flooded with malware-laced apps, spyware, and data mining tools disguised as innocent utilities.
And for users who venture outside the Play Store to sideload apps, the risks amplify. Malware like Joker and Triada exploit the very openness that defines Android.
This is the cruel irony of the Android OS: the freedom to install anything becomes the freedom to compromise everything. Security becomes a matter of personal responsibility, which most average users are ill-equipped to handle.
Developer’s Despair: Code Once, Debug Forever
Developing for Android isn’t just a career—it’s a trial by fire. The platform encourages innovation but demands constant adaptation. An app that works on Android 9 may crash on Android 13 due to deprecated APIs, new permissions models, or background process restrictions.
Tools like Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin try to make development smoother. But the underlying OS complexity turns every build into a gamble.
Developers often suffer from:
Endless compatibility testing
UI bugs due to device-specific issues
Battery optimization conflicts
Strict Play Store policies
Each update feels like treading on landmines. The suffering isn’t in writing code—it’s in making it work across the chaotic universe Android OS inhabits.
The OEM War: Bloatware, Ads, and Manipulation
Most Android users never experience “pure Android.” Instead, they get heavily modified skins like MIUI, One UI, ColorOS, or FuntouchOS—each trying to differentiate but often adding bloatware, unnecessary features, or even ads in system apps.
This user exploitation represents a deep philosophical corruption. Android was meant to liberate. Instead, OEMs have commercialized the user experience, embedding trackers, replacing default apps with affiliate versions, and prioritizing revenue over usability.
The user suffers unknowingly, tapping on what seems like a game only to be bombarded by ads, privacy invasions, and battery drain.
Digital Balance or Digital Burnout?
With the Android OS powering billions of devices, it shapes how people live, work, and think. The Digital Wellbeing initiative by Google was supposed to address this. But the irony remains: the same OS that tries to reduce screen time is designed to keep users engaged with infinite scrolling, constant notifications, and addictive app loops.
Behind the OS's logic is a battlefield of attention economy algorithms. The freedom of Android becomes a prison of choice—thousands of apps, endless customization, infinite distractions. For the mindful user, this is mental suffering cloaked in pixels.
Conclusion: The Beautiful Struggle of Android OS
Android OS is not just an operating system—it’s a canvas for creativity, a playground for hackers, and a minefield for developers and users alike. Its open-source roots inspire innovation but breed chaos. It offers freedom, but at the cost of control and consistency.
In a world obsessed with clean design and minimalism, Android OS remains a messy masterpiece—glorious in its imperfection, suffering from its success, and yet, still evolving.
As users, developers, and dreamers, we continue to engage with it—not because it's perfect, but because it's alive, raw, and real.
Meta Description (SEO): Explore the chaotic beauty of Android OS. From fragmentation to freedom, uncover the hidden struggles behind the world's most popular mobile operating system.

Accelerate Your Manual Testing with Multi-Device Testing
In today’s digital landscape, delivering seamless, bug-free experiences across a wide range of devices is not just an advantage—it’s a necessity. As businesses expand their digital footprints, ensuring application functionality across devices, screen sizes, and operating systems has become a critical aspect of software quality assurance. Manual testing remains a vital part of this process, especially when validating user interfaces, workflows, and real-world usability. However, manual testing on multiple devices can quickly become overwhelming, slow, and error-prone. This is where multi-device testing, enhanced by platforms like GenQE.ai, steps in to accelerate the process and increase accuracy without sacrificing quality.
The Need for Speed in Manual Testing
Traditional manual testing involves running test cases one-by-one on individual devices. This approach becomes inefficient when teams need to test across a variety of platforms including smartphones, tablets, desktops, and different browser types. As applications grow more complex and user expectations continue to rise, manual testers are expected to do more in less time.
Key challenges with traditional manual testing include:
Device Fragmentation: With so many device models and screen sizes in use, covering all bases can be daunting.
Time Constraints: Manually testing across multiple devices can be highly time-consuming.
Human Error: Repetitive testing tasks often lead to inconsistencies and missed bugs.
Scaling Issues: As testing needs grow, manual teams struggle to keep up with limited resources.
To overcome these challenges, organizations must rethink their approach to manual testing. Multi-device testing is one such approach that can significantly streamline manual testing efforts.
What is Multi-Device Testing?
Multi-device testing refers to the practice of validating an application’s performance, layout, and usability across different device types and configurations. It ensures the application behaves consistently across:
Various screen resolutions
Operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS)
Browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
Device orientations (portrait, landscape)
While multi-device testing is commonly associated with automated testing, it is equally critical in manual testing scenarios. Manual testers can simulate real-world interactions, observe design responsiveness, and evaluate user experiences from a human-centric perspective. But to do this effectively and efficiently, they need an infrastructure that supports fast, parallel testing on real devices.
That’s where GenQE.ai comes in.
GenQE.ai: The Future of Scalable Manual Testing
GenQE.ai is a modern, AI-powered quality engineering platform designed to enhance and accelerate manual testing processes. By integrating advanced testing workflows with real-device access and intelligent insights, GenQE.ai empowers QA teams to test smarter—not harder.
Here’s how GenQE.ai revolutionizes manual testing with multi-device capabilities:
1. Centralized Access to Real Devices
Manual testers often need to physically handle multiple devices or rely on disparate systems to perform cross-device testing. GenQE.ai eliminates this chaos by offering a unified environment where testers can remotely access and interact with real devices. Whether testing on Android tablets, iPhones, or desktop browsers, testers can conduct manual sessions from a single interface—no switching between devices, no logistical hurdles.
This not only saves time but significantly improves the tester's ability to reproduce and report bugs with consistency.
2. Parallel Device Sessions
With GenQE.ai, manual testers are no longer constrained to testing on one device at a time. The platform supports parallel testing sessions, allowing teams to run the same test case simultaneously across multiple devices. For example, a tester can verify UI rendering on an iPhone 13 and a Samsung Galaxy S22 in parallel, identifying layout issues instantly without repeating the entire process.
This parallelism is a game-changer for efficiency, especially in regression testing and release cycles where time is limited.
3. Intelligent Bug Logging
Capturing bugs during manual testing can be tedious. Testers often need to take screenshots, record video evidence, and note down steps manually. GenQE.ai simplifies this process by integrating intelligent bug logging features directly into the testing interface. With a single click, testers can capture annotated screenshots, add notes, and log bugs directly into issue trackers.
This seamless integration enhances collaboration between testers and developers, ensuring faster bug resolution and more streamlined workflows.
4. Real-Time Collaboration
In distributed teams, manual testing often suffers from a lack of coordination. GenQE.ai supports real-time collaboration by allowing multiple testers or stakeholders to observe or participate in live sessions. QA leads can monitor the progress of manual tests, provide feedback instantly, or guide junior testers through complex scenarios—all from within the platform.
This improves accountability and speeds up test execution through effective team synergy.
5. Consistent Test Environments
Device-specific issues are often difficult to reproduce due to inconsistencies in the testing environment. GenQE.ai addresses this by offering standardized, pre-configured test environments that mimic real-world conditions accurately. Whether it's a specific OS version or browser configuration, testers can launch consistent environments every time—ensuring reproducibility and reliable bug tracking.
6. AI-Augmented Test Insights
Even in manual testing, AI can provide valuable assistance. GenQE.ai offers AI-powered insights based on test session data, helping testers spot anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and inconsistent behaviors that may go unnoticed. The platform continuously learns from past test sessions to provide smarter suggestions and prioritize areas that need attention.
This hybrid approach combines the intuition of manual testers with the speed and intelligence of automation.
Benefits of Multi-Device Testing with GenQE.ai
Implementing multi-device manual testing through GenQE.ai delivers measurable benefits across your QA lifecycle:
Faster Test Cycles: Reduce test execution time by over 50% through parallel device sessions and centralized access.
Improved Coverage: Test across more devices and configurations without additional hardware investment.
Higher Accuracy: Eliminate human error with structured workflows, intelligent logging, and consistent environments.
Better Collaboration: Enable seamless communication between testers, developers, and product owners through integrated tools.
Increased ROI: Optimize your QA resources and reduce the cost of quality by avoiding redundant work and post-release bugs.
Real-World Use Case: Agile Teams Releasing Weekly Builds
Consider an agile product team that pushes weekly builds to production. Manual testing remains a critical gatekeeper, especially for UI validation and exploratory testing. Without an effective multi-device strategy, the team would need days to validate every feature across major devices.
With GenQE.ai, the team sets up test environments for each device in minutes, runs test cases in parallel, and logs bugs with evidence directly into their workflow. They conduct full regression checks in hours instead of days, ensuring every release meets their quality standards without causing bottlenecks.
Conclusion: The Smart Way to Scale Manual Testing
Manual testing is not going away anytime soon. Its value in validating real user experiences, catching visual discrepancies, and exploring edge cases remains unparalleled. But to keep up with today’s fast-paced development cycles and high device diversity, manual testing must evolve.
Multi-device testing is the next step in this evolution, and platforms like GenQE.ai are leading the charge. By enabling fast, efficient, and intelligent manual testing across devices, GenQE.ai empowers QA teams to deliver quality at speed—without burning out their resources. Whether you’re a solo tester, a growing startup, or an enterprise-level QA team, embracing multi-device testing through GenQE.ai will not only accelerate your testing process but also elevate the overall quality of your software.

who up pinning they post. anyway
Hi!! I'm Io, but you can also use some of my dragonsona names (Aioh, Doll). It/He, it preferred. I wanted to make an FR blog to actually partake more in the community! This isn't gonna look that pretty right now, maybe I'll tidy this up later. More info below :3c
My likes and follows are from @ioempyrean ! If you like my art or writing, that account is my creative space (as an artist hobbyist & a published author in the making) so maybe give it a follow!
My FR is Aioh, ID 268999! Friend reqs are fine if we've at least even MINIMALLY interacted w/ each other. I own Strawberry Sweet Hatchery, a cheap pink-red range hatchery with both soft and dark aesthetics alike! I WILL advertise my hatchlings here, this is a threat. My clan is a lore clan (I may post lore ... maybe) with a sort of loose overarching plot. Also I love Archer Bug so much we are holding hands at all times /j
It's been over a year since I've used social media in a social way, genuinely, so I'm a bit rusty. You're free to interact though, as long as you're respectful to me and those around you, I guess. Asks are open for conversation, lore questions, or other etc things.
Hey! Note This! On-site lore is always abiding by site rules, but I might elaborate more on lore on this blog that breaches slightly over what FR's site content rules allow! Nothing will be extreme of course, but consider this a space to approach my lore in a 16+ range rather than a 13+! Content warnings & tags are always appropriately issued, of course.
That's all! Aioh, Doll, and Icarus are my dragonsonas, so feel free to slip them some likes! Ty!
